Deserters was conceived as a speculative, open-ended project - events and collaborations grew from conversations and meetings, rather than an imposed and pre-planned exhibition timetable. Talks, critiques, walks and performances revealed a richness of thought and language underpinning the strength of the visual work.

With this in mind, we see the series of artists’ Q&As we will post over the coming year as exploratory - a way to sustain and extend the connections we have made, keep the group in conversation and ‘grow’ future outcomes.
